The Kabaka of Buganda, His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, has set off on a journey overseas to undergo additional medical examinations and seek guidance from his team of international healthcare professionals, a confirmation made by Buganda’s Prime Minister, Charles Peter Mayiga.
In a recent communication, Katikkiro Mayiga clarified that this expedition forms an essential component of the Kabaka’s continuous healthcare plan, supplementing the treatments and assessments he has been receiving locally.
Mayiga provided assurance to the people of Buganda regarding the Kabaka’s well-being, emphasizing His Majesty’s commitment to keeping his subjects informed about his health status when necessary.
Accompanied by esteemed Kingdom officials and protocol leaders, the Kabaka received a heartfelt send-off at Entebbe International Airport from the Kingdom’s top brass as he embarked on this significant medical voyage.
Buganda kingdom stands in unity
Following concerns about the Kabaka’s health that arose in 2021, particularly after his discomfort during his 66th birthday festivities, the Buganda Kingdom has been consistently updating the public on his condition, urging calm among the populace.
Katikkiro Mayiga appeals to the people of Buganda to continue offering prayers for the Kabaka’s complete recovery, underscoring the Kingdom’s unwavering dedication to the monarch’s welfare.
The precise location of the Kabaka’s current medical visit and the specifics of his treatment remain undisclosed out of respect for his privacy, a longstanding tradition of the Kingdom.
