Student From Kampala University Shot Dead On Spot

Kampala University is still facing many challenges over loosing students at a faster rate. The Police in Jinja have already launched investigations into the spot shoot of a third-year student at the University in Jinja branch.

However, while at Kampala University, this student was killed by a security guard attached to Star React Security Guard Limited. Tears rolled at campus where other students became angry and started rioting over the security guard.

The victim identified as Isaac Katagwa has been pursuing a bachelor’s degree in hotel management, tourism and leisure but unfortunately, a serious shot through his back couldn’t spare his life last night.

According to students who participated in evening lectures, they were all shocked after hearing a gunshot at around 08:45pm and decided to run towards the administration block and found Katagwa’s lifeless body.

Many claim that the victim died after having a serious argument with the guard who later lost patience and shot him at close range.

Isaac’s body was moved out of the University at around 10:42pm and transferred to Jinja Regional Referral Hospital mortuary. Uganda Police hasn’t revealed the shooter’s identity until further notice.
