Karitas Kario On Why She Took A Music Break

Songstress Karitas Kario has revealed why she decided to take a music break for some time. She said some Ugandans think it is because of financial struggles which is not true.

Ms. Karitas moved to the United States to look for greener pastures sometime back. Despite her being there, she was still committed to her music career.

She would record music and also shoot videos to send back home. She has always had promoters and her team on the ground to push her music. However, when she got pregnant, she stopped recording music and sending it to Uganda.

Fans have always wondered what happened to her. According to Karitas Kario, when she got pregnant, she had to rethink about her life and how she wanted to raise her child.

She said taking a music break was one of the decisions she made so that she could focus on her life. This is especially her child who needs more of her time.

“Those assuming my break was due to financial constraints are mistaken. I chose to step back to be a mother to my child. It’s time people altered their perspectives towards others,” the singer said.

It should be noted that a number of singers always step back from music whenever they give birth. However, the likes of Kapa Cat, Cindy Sanyu, etc didn’t take any time off. They returned to the scene just weeks after having their babies.
