The singers were unveiled among nominees that were announced at an event held at Kampala Serena Hotel on Tuesday evening. They have been nominated in Young Achievers Award for Creative Arts (Music) Category.
“We are pleased to announce this year’s nominees who have been selected by distinguished Judges who brought their industry knowledge and category specific skill sets to assess the nominees and choose the finalists for the Young Achievers Awards.” Said Humphrey Nabimanya, the Team Leader & Founder of Reach A Hand Uganda.
Speaking moments after the unveiling ceremony, Geosteady expressed excitement about the nomination. “I am so happy to be nominated in these awards,” the singer said. “I want to empower and also be a source of inspiration to the young, and this is one of the avenues to achieve this.”
Founded in 2009 by two young entrepreneurs, Awel Uwihanganye, and Ivan Kyambadde, the Young Achievers Awards seek to encourage entrepreneurship while recognising innovation and excellence.
Winners will be announced at an awards gala night that will be held on Saturday, August 12 at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The President of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, is expected to be the guest of honor.
