Kasuku Reveals What’s Stunting Irene Ntale’s Career

Media personality Isaac Katende aka Kasuku Wazabanga has opened up on what has really stunted songstress, Irene Ntale’s music career. Kasuku while appearing on NTV’s Da Beat said that the singer’s Esanyu Dagala song was one of the best songs released last year. However, it didn’t do well due to lack of promotion.

The motor-mouthed media personality pointed out some of the songs that did well because of being promoted. They included Vinka’s Bailando which did very well.

Additionally, Kasuku said that even when the likes of Jowy Landa release a song, her manager, Jeff Kiwa pushes it. Therefore, good music is not always enough alone. Sometimes all one needs is good promotion.

“One of the best songs released last year was ‘Esanyu Dagala’ by Irene Ntale. But, it wasn’t promoted enough for significant airplay. When Vinka releases songs like ‘Bilando,’ Swangz Avenue will push it for airplay. Similarly, when Jowy Landa drops a song, Jeff Kiwa will promote it. Therefore, having a good song is not enough. You need to actively promote it for airplay, as many people have good songs,” said Kasuku.

When it comes to Irene Ntale’s talent, there is no question marks about it. The Nkubukinze singer captured the scene about a decade ago under Swangz Avenue.

She spawned several hit songs and was one of the best singers. However, disagreements with her management forced her out. Ever since she left the Makindye-based label, she’s never found the form she was once on.
