Kato Lubwama – Chameleone And His New Federation Have No Future

Former Rubaga South MP and comedian Kato Lubwama has come out to advise Chameleone how he and his new federation have no future and should abandon the whole project.

It should be noted that a few days ago, Chameleone in the company of some big musicians in the country announced how they had parted ways with the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA).

They subsequently announced that they had formed the Uganda Music Federation and the Uganda Superstars Association.

Chameleone was there and then elected as president before he came out to say that their new organization was going to conquer all other artistes’ umbrellas in the country.

This sent UMA into panic mode and the association converged a meeting on Tuesday to forge a way forward.

UMA president Cindy chaired this meeting and number of big names in the music industry were in attendance.

These included Kato Lubwama, Mesach Ssemakula, Dr Hilderman, Isaac Ruuchi, Kayemba Solo among others.

They went ahead to elect a policy board that will be responsible for policing the music industry.

All these musicians while addressing the media criticized Chameleone and his organization as fueled by selfish interests.

He said these artists feel that they are the best and no one can rule them.

Many people know the former legislator as controversial while airing his opinions. He came out yesterday to address the same issue.

He said that he respected Chameleon but what he was doing was wrong.

“I as Kato Lubwama will remain in UMA and accept to be ruled by Cindy. I didn’t want to come out in the past because I didn’t want to overshadow her. But it’s time I speak up and we are going to make UMA big. For Chameleone, he’s one of those artistes I respect so much in Uganda because I know he’s very intelligent. However when it comes to leading us, he should just forget it because he can’t. He should instead come and join us in UMA.” Kato Lubwama said.
