The Inspector General of police general Kale Kayihura and the security minister General were both sacked by President Museveni.

President museveni posted via his twitter page confirming the sacking of the two security personnel.
In exercise of powers granted to me by the Constitution, I have appointed Gen Elly Tumwine as the Security Minister. I have also appointed Mr Okoth Ochola as the Inspector-General of Police. He will be deputised by Brig Sabiiti Muzeei

President museveni said: “In exercise of powers granted to me by the Constitution, I have appointed Gen Elly Tumwine as the Security Minister. I have also appointed Mr Okoth Ochola as the Inspector-General of Police. He will be deputised by Brig Sabiiti Muzeei.”
Kayihura and tumukunde have had some conflicts between themselves for a while now. President Museveni advised the two to settle their issues or he would react like he did.
Minister otafiire of recently also advised the two to solve their issues privately and not publically.
