KCCA FC, Gaddafi FC Face Off For First Time Ever In Uganda Premier League

The 13-time Uganda Premier League champions Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA FC) will entertain newly-promoted Gaddafi FC. This will be one of the three games on the fixtures.

The encounter will be staged at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala City, for the first-ever meeting between these two clubs.

KCCA comes to this match having recorded a comprehensive 3-0 victory on the road away to Wakiso Giants. It is Sadat Happy Anaku, Davis Kasirye and Ashraf Mugume were all on target to claim that victory.

Gaddafi however, lost their 2-0 in their first-ever match of the top flight division to rivals Busoga United in the Jinja Derby.

Busoga United had Elvis Ngonde and Anwar Ntege’s for striking on target to claim the victory Uganda Premier League game.

Bad news for KCCA as it will miss a couple of players due to injuries as Arafat Usama joins other players on the sidelines. The side’s manager, Morley Byekwaso however believes KCCA has the momentum to catch fire and register the win.

‘’We need to go all out against Gaddafi and pick three points. We want to keep the momentum going after picking three points in the opening game. I liked the aggression and the fact that we scored three goals away in the opening game. I would like to see the players possess the ball and be confident while playing,’’ Byekwaso said.

Two former KCCA players, Hassan Musana and Paul Musamali currently playing for Gaddafi will be in the spotlight.
