FOOTBALL: KCCA FC have reached an agreement with Moses Waiswa over the termination of his contract. The midfielder has six months remaining on the contract after he joined the club in June 2022.
“KCCA FC and player Moses Waiswa Ndhondhi have today, Thursday, January 11, 2024, mutually parted ways with immediate effect…,’ read part of the statement released by the club.
Waiswa has failed to get into the first team this season, first under Portuguese Sergio Traguil. He also failed under current manager Abdallah Mubiru.
He fell out with the Portuguese who suspended him but returned after he was sacked and has played only three times since. Waiswa has previously played for UPL reigning champions Vipers and SuperSport United in South Africa.
Reports alleged that the player was unhappy with the club after failure to fully clear his sign on fee a year after his signing.
The change in coaches at Lugogo didn’t also play in his favour, from Jackson Mayanja who came in to replace Morley Byekwaso then Sergio Traguil.
However, there were always two constant elements, more disagreements between him and the gaffer the minutes he was sent onto the pitch.
The most recent is when he allegedly led group of players that expressed dissatisfaction towards Portuguese tactician Sergio Traguil’s tactics. He had apparently traveled to face Kitara FC without many senior players that had been a part of the ‘riot.’ losing 3:1.
It then became a question of when and not if Waiswa and Sergio would leave the club soon. The latter saw his exit first and the former has also followed through in similar fashion.
