KCCA’s Night Football Dream To Be Realized Following Partnership With CHiNT

There has been a desire to have night football for a long while under floodlights, a polite request many supporters have made.

A few years ago, it happened at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. This happened before they shut down the facility to pave way for a major renovation exercise.

In new developments, the foreseeable future shows hope for the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala city. It will soon have state-of-art flood lights to accommodate night football action.

The development follows a partnership between KCCA FC with Chinese-based CHINT Electric Uganda as a long-term principal shirt sponsor (2022-2025). It will also fill in as the official lighting partner.

Many fans have different reasons why they badly want to have night football. One of them is that some core fans are tied up at workstations between 8 AM to 5 PM or 6 PM.

Others apparently try to avoid traffic back home between 4-8pm so staying until 10pm when night football is done could be a solution.

The lighting will be an improvement to the security around the stadium in the dark and risky Naguru-Lugogo confines.

Wrong characters have always based from there to rob innocent souls of their valuables, harm and at worst kill them, God forbid.
