Keko; Ugandan Music Fans Concerned About Faded Rapper's Sad State

Keko Denies Using Drugs, Says It’s Just An Ugly Rumour

Uganda female rapper Keko has denied using any drugs upon her return to the country. She said it is just an ugly rumour that has been going on for some time.

Before she moved to Canada, she was one of the most talented musicians working with fellow big artists. However, when she left, she stopped releasing music.

She said she had gone to further her education in the film in Canada. During her stay in Canada, she used to post about her life on Instagram. One day she went live while drunk, saying some uncoordinated things.

People were worried about her as she wasn’t in her country. There was a rumor that the singer was a drug addict and her life had been up and down because of that.

According to Keko, Ugandans have said some things about her that are not true and drugs are one of them. She said she is now focused on her career as she has a new song out.

“While in Toronto, Canada, I enrolled in a film school and took a break from producing music. Some of the things people say I do, which I don’t, include using drugs. I have a new song called “Twaze Kukyala” with Moses Matovu,” she said.

It should be noted that most drug addicts don’t admit that they are addicts. However, if Keko is indeed not a drug addict, then perhaps we should give her the benefit of the doubt.
