The Kenyan man says he loved his wife Grace because she had brought overwhelming grace into his life since they met. ”You see Grace has literally been at the centre of everything good in my life. I met her inside the bus as I headed for a job interview in 2015. I declined that interview and i was later given a better offer than what was advertised”.

Inside the bus, I had made a bet with Grace that I would be calling her if I landed the job. That evening we went out for coffee.

In 2016, to celebrate one year since that journey on the bus, we tied the knot with Grace the love of my life. Life is good. In 2017, we got our first kid and another one two years later.

But good things don’t last long. At least that is one of the lessons the Kenyan man has come to learn in the past few years. As fate would have it, COVID-19 hit us really hard. He was relieved of his job in May last year.

Grace’s business was equally hit by the pandemic. She decided to go back home to Kitui to stay with her parents for a few days. I wish I hadn’t let her go.

Kenyan man got shocked when his wife suddenly changed

Immediately she got home, my wife of four years changed from a sweet human being to an animal. She would go for days without taking my calls. When she picked the phone she would ask if I was calling to send food for the kids or just to gossip. I was really hurt and broken.

When the lockdown was lifted, I asked my wife if I could go see my kids in Kitui but she flatly refused. I was struggling to get a job but it seems my efforts didn’t make a lot of sense.
