Kenyan Police Is Responsible For My Single Status – Comedian Eric Omondi

Popular Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has come out to reveal that the Kenyan Police is responsible for his being single.

Omondi who is in Uganda and is slated to appear on the Comedy Store edition said that he had organized a show dubbed the Wife Material.

He intended to choose a woman from this show and marry her since he has aged. Omondi is currently 40 years old with no wife despite his celebrity status.

He said even found that one woman. Police however arrested him and the show’s production crew because they deemed the show controversial.

“I blame the Kenyan Police for my being single. I’m aging and now at 40 years, I have no woman or kids to welcome me back home. Through the Wife Material show, I had found a woman to marry but the Kenyan Police arrested us because the show was deemed controversial,” Omondi said to Sanyuka TV’s Kaiyz in an interview.

The Comedian who has been clashing with Kenyan musicians in the past also addressed the situation.

Omondi was involved in a heated row with Sauti Sol singer, Bien. According to Omondi, Bien only feels bad that a comedian is the one fighting for the music industry.

Besides Bien has a personal beef with Omondi, therefore his problem is not the message but the messenger.

Omondi also complimented Ugandan comedy but said that it now fell below Kenyan comedy. It’s the Churchill live show that has promoted Kenyan comedy and put it above other East African countries.

Omondi also had some advice for Ugandan artists. He said that Ugandan music is good but lacks a bit of showbiz to make it more relevant.
