In the early 2000s, the music industry was male-dominated. Even the ladies who were given a chance to join never made it successfully.
However, in this era, females are trying to dominate the music industry and they are definitely making a lot of money from it.
In Uganda, there are people like Sheebah who have built themselves mansions without a husband. And other artists like Spice Diana who are also trying to build their empires.
In Tanzania, there is Zuchu who is also doing her best in the industry. Nadia Mukami, however, says she is better than them.
According to her, she has so much land that she even fears to show her fans because they might run crazy because of that.
“I’m on my level. In terms of money, I don’t think there is a female artiste who has more money than me in Tanzania. Some of us don’t talk, but the land that we have, if we start showing title deeds, people will run away in terms of money, assets, investments; assets especially. I don’t think there is a female artiste in East Africa,” she said.
