Kenzo Represents Uganda While Ganda Boys Represent Baganda – Doreen Kabareebe

Popular city model, Doreen Kabareebe, has come to the defense of singer Eddy Kenzo, especially against all those that were downplaying his Grammy nomination. Kenzo in his press conference revealed that he’s the first Ugandan to be nominated in the Grammys.

However, this didn’t please a section of some people, especially his critics. They came out to point out an example of the Ganda boys formerly known as Da Twinz.

These were actually listed and not even nominated which makes Kenzo’s critics argument null.

Kabareebe also added that Ganda boys were listed for singing the Buganda anthem. Therefore, people should know that the Grammy’s board is well aware that Uganda consists of various tribes.

“Kenzo represents Uganda as a whole while the Ganda boys only represent Baganda by singing ekitibwa kya buganda on an international stage. The people you are singing for are aware that Uganda consists of various tribes. Congratulations Papa,” Doreen Kabareebe said.

There are actually a section of Ugandans who are so mad that Kenzo bagged this nomination. They are also rooting for Nigerian singer Burnaboy who was nominated for his Last Last song in the same category to bag the award.
