Ever since Eddy Kenzo’s led federation was inducted a couple of months ago, it has seemed to be at loggerheads and in competition with UMA. At one point, UNMF seemed like it was fishing the big names from UMA.
Phina was at one time pictured in these meetings. It was even announced that she had quit Cindy’s UMA to join Kenzo’s Federation. However, later she headed back to the Association and resumed her work as the secretary-general.
Apparently, she had not quit her group but was only given an invitation to Mutundwe by the federation. It wasn’t just her but other members of the association including the president, Cindy were there too.
It was some of the reasons raised in this meeting that stopped them from joining.
Apparently, Eddy Kenzo’s group said that associations were created to steal money. And as UMA, they took offense in this since they have never stolen anything.
“People took this the wrong way but I had never joined the federation. I was invited to one of their meetings just like other singers including my president, Cindy. However, some of the points raised in this meeting are what forced us to leave. They said that all associations were created to steal money. We have been in existence and I don’t recall us doing that,” the Bampasudde singer said.
Meanwhile, she also appreciated MP Dr Hilderman for his help on the copyright law. This is in the works and very soon it will be put into action.
Furthermore, Phina Masanyalaze welcomed some members of their new team including King Saha who is now the vice president. Daddy Andre is also the talent development manager.
According to Phina, one should never hate their enemy so much and should create time to sort out their issues. This is what they did with King Saha and they are now living harmoniously.
