David Rupiny, the Uganda Investment Authority Communications Officer, said the summit will take place at Kibalya Industrial Park grounds.
He said the first of-its-kind summit will be under the theme, “Mobilization of Domestic Investment for prosperity and Regional Integration”.
Vice President Major Jessica Alupo Epel is expected to preside over the function. A number of prospective investors will also be in attendance.
Furthermore, Rupiny revealed that the Kigezi Region Investment Summit will attract some investors from neighboring Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Earlier this year Uganda Investment Authority organized a successful Investment summit in Nebbi District located in West Nile. It attracted a high-level delegation from Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Kisoro District Resident District Commissioner Hajji Shafique Ssekandi Sengooba also said yesterday that all preparation to host the Investment summit was complete.
