In Yumbe, table leaders suffered a 2-1 loss to Calvary FC at Midigo Playground. It should be noted that the same team eliminated Kitara from Uganda Cup last week at the round of 16. Dickens Kilama and Ronald Ogenga scored for the home side while Jasper Aheebwa got the consolation goal for Kitara.
Despite the loss, Kitara remain top of the table with 43 points two above Mbarara City. Calvary FC on the other hand moved up to fifth place on 33 points.
In the other game played on Sunday, Police FC had to come from a goal down to salvage a point off Mbarara City. Ibrahim Thembo had fired the Ankole Lions in the lead at Kavumba Recreation Ground. This was with a well taken free kick before Emmanuel Mugume scored the equalizer for the Cops.
The results leaves Mbarara City second on the log on 41 points. Police and NEC are in fourth and third position respectively at level 40 points.
