Masaza Cup 2021; Kyadondo Ssaza Wins Appeal To Bounce Back

Kyadondo Ssaza Wins Appeal To Bounce Back Into Quarterfinals – Masaza Cup 2021

The Masaza Cup 2021 tournament has taken a sharp twist with the return of the former winners Kyadondo into the competition.

This follows a decision by the tournament appeals committee to revoke the earlier decision by the tournament’s organizing committee. It had deducted three points and goals from Kyadondo as punishment for the use of an eligible player.

Aisha Nalule, the Masaza Cup Appeals committee secretary released a statement awarding Kyadondo three points and goals apiece. Further, the pinned player, Edrisa Kibumba Kasirye received a go-ahead to continue playing in the tournament.

Kyadondo, therefore, makes it to 7 points to qualify for the quarter-finals at the expense of Ssingo who are already qualified. Apparently, Ssingo is willing to bitterly protest this decision.

Meanwhile, the Bulange group climaxes today with two matches at hand. Bugerere host Kyaggwe at noon and Busiro face already eliminated Buvuma later at 3:00 pm.

These will be the final two matches of the group before the last group, Butikiro kicks off. Butikiro group has Mawokota, Bulemeezi, Kooki, and islanders Ssese.
