Hon. Kyeyune Kasolo Claims Government Was Already Doing Something About The Girls In UAE

Hon. Kyeyune Kasolo, Minister of State for Finance, Planning and Economic development, has said government had already started the process of repatriating Ugandans from UAE before NUP.

He says that he had watched videos of torture and they got concerned and started doing something about it.

“As government, even though some of the Ugandans in UAE never went through authorized means, we saw the videos and got concerned, and we started repatriating them.”

Kyeyune said the government is in fact being very understanding. This is given the fact that most of the Ugandans who go to UAE use illegal companies.

“It’s not a good thing that our children are stranded in UAE, but all those Ugandans in UAE were not taken by authorized companies. These Ugandans are sneaked out of the country when they know they are being sneaked out.”

In fact, Minister Peace Mutuuzo said there are no people NUP has repatriated from UAE because government had already cleared their travel documents.

“The plans to repatriate Ugandans from UAE is a government program. The opposition stole the show, but the government has been in talks with UAE to repatriate Ugandans.”

However, some members of the public say government is only trying to trash NUP’s efforts. However, the truth is they had relaxed from helping stranded Ugandans.

“You took long and opposition acted in real time. Therefore stole the show and now credit goes to them. Meanwhile who registers those Co’s that fleece those unsuspecting Ugandans?” A one Hans commented.
