Learn To Respect People’s Opinions- DJ Jacob Omutuuze To Social Media Trolls

Veteran media personality DJ Jacob Omutuuze has told Ugandans especially those on social media to respect people’s opinions. He made these remarks in regard to the hostility his friend and singer, Juliana Kanyomozi faced on social media.

The Nabikoowa singer was subjected to social media cruelty after a video she made sympathizing with Pastor Aloysius Bugingo over his attempted murder.

Most of those who attacked her identified themselves as NUP supporters. Some even went as far as saying that it was good for her to lose her then-only child in 2014.

Juliana came out to record a video explaining herself to the general public. According to DJ Jacob, people should learn to respect other people’s opinions.

He said that not everyone agrees with the so-called struggle’s strategies. And even though everyone wants change of government to be effected, differing opinions should be respected.

This is the only way a peaceful transition will happen. Furthermore, Jacob added that he hasn’t yet approached the singer to talk about the issue.

This week has apparently seen several singers catch stray bullets from online trolls. Among these was singer Winnie Nwagi.

This is after she told Galaxy FM’s Little Joe that she doesn’t know who ‘Pulinsipo’ is. This earned her hot chilli abuses but little did the Galaxy FM presenter know that his turn was soon.

Through a radio program, Little Joe criticized Bobi Wine’s methods of calling upon people to go for demonstrations.

He thinks other strategies should be chosen because these demos lead to arrests of people. And yet NUP is still demanding for more of its people incarcerated earlier.
