NBS TV presenter Douglas Lwanga and singer Lil Pazzo have come under heavy criticism for sexualizing Shifurah of the Hoozambe hit song.
The two faced backlash from the public after Douglas posted a video of Lil Pazzo holding Shifurah in an advert for his Purple Party.
Both Shifurah and Lil Pazzo have been enjoying the spotlight. For Lil Pazzo, it’s for his Enkudi song while for Shifurah, it’s the Hoozambe song in which she was a vixen.
In the video that Douglas posted, Pazzo can be seen inappropriately holding Shifurah. He proceeds to even lay her down and get on top of her.
This has been a common thing with the Genda Ogule Emotokka singer with women. And a religious leader had to call him out last week for sexually objectifying women.
Meanwhile, this video of the two trending TikTokers attracted backlash and one comment that stood out was from socialite Judith Heard. She said, “Till we learn that somethings don’t need to be posted on social media, Uganda will have a better future.”
“Nothing funny here, just seeing two adults, one disrespecting a woman. We can do a better promotion lol. It’s not funny at all… shame,” another said.
“Why is he touching her inappropriately and you have the audacity to post this on social media? This is insane,” went another comment.
Despite the backlash and criticism, the NBS After 5 Presenter did not delete the video. This is probably because it was promoting his concert.
For Lil Pazzo, this is becoming a trademark of his and the public seems to have embraced it.
