He said that he’s not yet sure and he’s not yet thinking about his next move for now. But one thing he surely knows is that he doesn’t want to be a coach.
“I don’t know, honestly, I don’t know. I don’t think I want to become a coach, but I really don’t know what I might do,” the Inter Miami captain said.
The 37-year-old started playing pro football in 2006 and has set and broken numerous records over the years. These include the most golden boots, most trophies, and most Ballon d’Ors, among others.
Most footballers usually retire into either punditry or coaching, but the former Barcelona superstar doesn’t know yet.
For a man who seems not to like the cameras and spotlight so much despite his greatness, going into management might not be a thing of his. However, if he decides to coach, he will be in good company.
His former teammates such as Pep Guardiola, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas among others are all coaches now.
