Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago Vehemently Denies Ever Meeting The First Family

The lord mayor of Kampala, Ssalongo Erias Lukwago, has denied ever meeting any member of the Museveni family. This comes at a time handwritten letters purportedly from Gen Saleh to Lukwago have been circulating.

In one of these letters, Saleh threatened to sever all financial support he’s been extending to Lukwago. He added that he would only let their relationship continue if Lukwago apologized. The letter stated that Lukwago made comments against Saleh’s family that didn’t appease him.

Speculation and tension have therefore been high in the clouds with many people awaiting Lukwago’s reply. Many of these couldn’t comprehend that Lukwago could be a mole. However, the FDC top honcho has denied this and branded it useless and malicious propaganda.

Lukwago said that he’s never met either Muhoozi, Museveni or Gen Saleh in his life. He also said that for the time he’s been serving as Kampala lord mayor since 2011, there isn’t a single photo of him shaking Museveni’s hand.

“I have never met Saleh in my life & never even shaken hands with him. When people are dirty, they always want to make you also look dirty and that is the irony. What amuses me is they think that to bring down Lukwago, let’s create a picture of him being close to us. I have also never met Museveni or Muhoozi. For the time I have been lord mayor since 2011, there isn’t a single photo of me shaking Museveni’s hand,” said Lukwago.

Several social media users have however already concluded that Lukwago could be guilty. These say that one doesn’t necessarily need to meet Museveni to be his mole.
