Luka Modric Congratulates Andres Iniesta On His Magnificent Career

Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric took to the social media platform X formerly Twitter to congratulate Barcelona and Sapin Legend, Andres Iniesta on having a magnificent footballing career. Iniesta brought his prestigious career that spanned over 2 decades to an end this week.

The 2010 World Cup winner was one of the most gifted footballers to ever lace the boots and grace the football pitch.

Besides, he was also a respectable character amongst his peers and rivals alike. It’s no wonder that opposition teams such as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and footballers such as Modric are congratulating him.

“Congratulations on your career. It has been a pleasure. Good luck in your new stage,” Modric who spent the better part of his career rivaling Iniesta in the La Liga, El Classicos and Champions League posted on X.

Other footballers also came out to congratulate the 41-year-old. His former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi wrote on Instagram, “One of the teammates with the most magic and one of those I enjoyed playing with the most. The ball is going to miss you, and so will all of us. I wish you the best always, you’re a phenomenon.”

Other football figures such as Pep Guardiola, Luis Suarez, Louis Van Gaal and Luis Enrique also congratulated the diminutive midfielder.

Iniesta who scored Spain’s world Cup-winning goal against the Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup will go down as one of Barcelona, Spain and football’s greatest-ever players.
