Lydia Jazmine Reveals Why Most Female Artistes Struggle In Their Careers

Songstress Lydia Jazmine has come out to reveal why most female musicians struggle musically in Uganda. While premiering her new song, Kawowo on Galaxy FM, she laid the blame on music managers.

According to her, most of these aren’t serious at all. They always mix business with pleasure. And this is exactly why several female musicians get nothing out of management.

The singer also went ahead to talk about her personal lifestyle. Despite being in the music business which is associated with all kinds of drugs, the Masukka singer said that she doesn’t use any of them.

“We don’t have professional managers in Uganda, the ones we have are not professional. They all mix business with pleasure, that’s why you see most female artists struggle with management.”

“I’ve never done drugs, not even shisha. I don’t deal with smoking,” said Jazmine.

Meanwhile, the singer has been through quite a number of managements and some of these ended badly for her.

Others even set her back because she’s one of those musicians with great potential that has never been realized.

Several female musicians have ended up having relationships with their managers. And this always has a negative effect on their careers.

Singers who have thrived under management seem to be Swangz Avenue singers Winnie Nwagi, Vinka and Azawi.

Sheebah and Spice Diana have also excelled under managers. But these have ways been rumored to be in relationships with their managers.
