Madrat Narrates His Horrible Life Before Fame

Comedian, Madrat, real name Dickson Umar Lubega of the duo Madrat and Chiko has narrated his horrible life story before he became famous.

Before joining Comedy, Madrat was a street kid who had escaped from home and school at a young age to go and roam around the city like his other friends.

At that young age, Madrat thought that going to school was a punishment from his parents. He liked his friends who he thought had the freedom to move wherever they wanted. That’s something that triggered him to run away from home.

On the Streets, Madrat did so many things to survive. One of them was to steal because that was a way of getting what to eat without anyone providing.

He went ahead to better his life by trying to join the entertainment industry like selling compact discs (CDs) and carrying machines for the Deejays.

Through that, he gained more passion for the entertainment industry. He started trying out to do comedy which his friends had pushed him into saying he is funny.

The comedian started trying out comedy but it didn’t work for him until 2016 when he was joined by Chiko. After getting with Chiko, he started making some good money and decided to go back home but his mother cried out so much after thinking he had died longtime.

“When I went back home, my mother cried a lot because she thought I had died all along since I was even asthmatic,” Madrat said.
