Man Carries Generator To Hospital As He Takes Pregnant Wife To Give Birth To Their Child

A Ghanaian responsible man who took his pregnant wife to Somanya Poly Clinic handed over a generator to provide electricity for the doctors to work on his lovely wife.

The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday, 17th August 2022, in the Eastern Region Ghana, where residents of Yilo Krobo and Lower Manya have been without electricity for weeks.

This is after various areas were rammed into darkness after the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) cut them off from the national grid following a misunderstanding between the residents and ECG staff.

The argument resulted over meter replacements in the areas, where some locals resisted an exercise by ECG to replace prepaid meters with postpaid ones.

It is against this backdrop that the man carried a generator to provide the healthcare workers with electricity to work on his lovely wife.

The plant is at the back of his car, and he brought it because the hospital does not have power,” a voice said in the video.

According to the video, someone is able to tell that there is no power around as the pick-up is parked in darkness.
