Being urbanized is a native’s dream in country, despite of its effects although it has the negative effects that Beijing are trying to avoid like congestion.

The 121 small markets closed, especially in Beijing, some of them being closed in the mid half of this year and the others were closed last year, have reduced the space covered by the markets in the city by about 8.2% of the total according to survey results passed out by the Beijing statistics Bureau on Tuesday.
More than half of the closed markets were in the central districts.
“Due to the large amount of customers that is attracted by the small markets, it has created traffic jam,” the Bureau says. ‘but the move has proven effective 2 improving the urban environment & calming the hectic traffic jam in the city,’ bureau said.
Last Saturday, the local government announced that it would catalyze its construction of a subsidiary administrative center in the suburban district of Tongzhou while promising to limit its population to 23 million people.
Beijing has sought to address “urban diseases” such as traffic congestion and air pollution by quelling population growth and moving some facilities to nearby regions.
