Mathias Walukagga Calls Out Known Politicians To Help Him In Campaigns

Mathias Walukagga has called out known politicians to help him out in his campaigns. He named a list of all the politicians he helped during there time of campaigns through the songs he composed for them.

This time round however, he has also decided to run for Kyengera Town Council Mayor seat. According to him its time for all these people to come out and render him some help.

Mathias Walukagga who now addresses himself as the Mandela of Kyengera was found on foot during his campaigns. He told journalists that he is too broke to afford a car. He used that opportunity in front of the cameras to name the people he knows can actually be of financial help. Rt Col. Kizza Besigye, Hon. Betty Nambooze, Hon. Kato Lubwama among others.

This brings a lot of questions in our heads. Was it that at the time he was campaigning for these people, Walukagga knew he would get help from them anytime he needed it. To the best of our knowledge, he was always paid for his services at that time. Why does it seem like they still owe him their support to the point of calling out their names?

This is what we may term as cheap politics. The candidates simply want to take advantage of anyone and anything they can to get where they want.

When you look most of the people on his list, most of them are also campaigning for themselves. So should they leave their campaigns just to help someone they actually paid when they needed him?

We don’t know but let’s wait and see what happens.
