Faded singer Maureen Kabasita has come out to express her disappointment in the career path her life took. The singer was years ago a secular musician who performed both as a solo artiste and a band musician.
However, speaking about her past choices, the singer said that she regrets some of the things she did.
Naturally, she believes she was born to be a gospel artist. She, therefore, doesn’t know how she ended up doing secular music which most times seemed perverted.
According to the singer, some of her last songs were not so good. She recalled one of the songs she did with Ziza Bafana which was not good for a woman of her stature. She even had to smoke weed as a stunt for the song to blow up. And this really affected her.
The Kasengejja singer now wants to do gospel music and serve her God who’s brought her this far. Besides, the singer believes that she’s now ready to transition and would also like to collaborate with Pastor Wilson Bugembe.
Below is what she had to say;
“I think I was born to do gospel music because that’s where I fit and sound better. I at times now regret some of the songs I did before because they were promoting perversion. One is called Ku Skirt while another one I recall was with Ziza Bafana. I remember the particular one with Bafana where I was asked to smoke weed which I did. This was so degrading for my life and career. I will be transitioning to gospel and would like to sing with Pastor Bugembe,” she said.
Maureen Kabasita also said that she’s single although with kids. She now wants a man to marry her and she believes that she will get him this year.
Some of the qualities he should possess is being tall, dark-skinned and rich. The singer was at one time romantically involved with the controversial tycoon, Captain Kasami.
