Maurice Kirya Announces Retirement From Music

Singer and actor, Maurice Kirya, has announced his retirement from music after 22 years of feeding his fans with the best kind of music. Maurice started singing at a very young age, he was famous for the urban soul type of music.

This gave him an elite fan base, educated and young in age. He then went ahead to join the film industry which goes hand in hand with the music and he has been successful in both fields.

However, after his marriage to a white woman, Maurice Kirya and his family moved to the Netherlands to look for greener pastures. During his stay there, he reduced the production of music as he somehow vanished from the industry.

Early this year, Maurice Kirya through his social media platforms revealed that he had divorced his wife. His focus is back on what he knows most which is music and performing for his fans around the World.

For the passion he has for music, he even wanted to contest and become the president of Ugandan artists through the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA).

Yesterday, the singer through his social media platforms told his fans that he is looking at retiring come 2023. His retirement will end with his tour around the world as he thanks his fans for supporting him and asking them to keep the memories alive.
