MC Ollo Quits NTV Months After Being Hired

Popular media personality MC Ollo has quit NTV months after being hired by the Kampala Serena-based TV station. It should be noted that Ollo shot to fame while working on NBS TV’s Youth Voice. However, early this year, he was fished by NTV from Naguru.

At NTV he has been presenting the NTV TNation where he has been for 7 months. Ollo apparently has been a fan favorite, especially amongst teenage students in secondary schools.

This is where his work has primarily been centered. In his resignation, he took a swipe at former workplace NBS saying that ever since he left, the Youth Program that he used to do has never been the same.

Read his statement below;

“After much thought and consideration, I’ve decided to step down from my role at NTV and NTV T Nation. These past 7 months have been nothing short of incredible. I’ve had the privilege of activating in over 150 schools, connecting with countless young people, significantly increasing the show’s viewership and revenue streams. I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity and experience gained. Earlier this year, I joined NTV after leaving NBS TV, where I was hosting Youth Voice (and let’s be honest, the show has never been the same without me! ). It has been an amazing journey, but the time has come to move on.”

Additionally, he said that his departure has nothing to do with negative exposure. It has rather been an amazing journey and his desire to uplift the voice of the youth furthermore is what has caused him to resign.

Ollo said that this is not the end for him in the limelight. He will be sharing his next chapter soon,

Besides, his Kiromo brand won’t be associated with TV anymore. It will rather be under him. And anyone that wants to do business with him should contact him directly.
