The seasoned marketer is moving to Msingi East Africa where she is expected to start work October 2017.
Msingi is an ambitious and innovative young industry development organisation aimed at supporting the growth of competitive industries in East Africa.
Msingi works to identify high potential industries around the region. It then aims to foster innovation, growth and increased competitiveness in these industries by supporting pioneering firms through technology transfer (for example, facilitating joint ventures between local and international firms), capability building and access to finance.
“She is leaving because she received a good opportunity and not anything like we are reorganising the business,” Muganda told NTV staff in Thursday breakfast meeting.
Konde thanked fellow staff for the support during her four years at the helm of the business.
Aggie Konde’s four years at NTV have not been rosy. In 2015, close to ten key staff left the station and joined rivals NBS tv. This could have been her lowest moment as NTV boss.
Rumour had it that NTV was fast turning into a company of friends and family and this could have prompted some staff to leave.
