Medard Sseggona Announces Presidential Ambitions Within National Unity Platform

Renowned legal mind and seasoned politician, Medard Sseggona, has publicized his intention to vie for the role of the Presidency within the National Unity Platform. Speaking to constituents in Wakiso District, Sseggona disclosed his decision to compete for the position following Bobi Wine’s tenure.

In his address, Sseggona elucidated that the leadership of the National Unity Platform had reached a consensus to permit Bobi Wine to hold the Party President position for a decade without seeking re-election.

The Member of Parliament for Busiro East affirmed his readiness to assume the leadership mantle within the National Unity Platform but is allowing Bobi Wine to complete his two terms as agreed.

Sseggona’s strategic succession blueprint within NUP

Detailing his succession plan, Sseggona clarified that after Kyagulanyi’s two-term presidency, the next President of the National Unity Platform would hail from Busiro, asserting his candidacy for the role.

Nevertheless, Sseggona emphasized his current focus on securing a parliamentary seat next year under the National Unity Platform banner.

Despite his aspirations, Medard Sseggona is set to face competition from Kadongo Kamu artiste Mathias Walukaaga as he navigates his political journey within the National Unity Platform.
