Medical Student At KIU Found Dead In Her Room

It has been a Monday full of grief at Kampala International University after a medical student, unfortunately, passed away in her room. Akankunda Eva(deceased) happened to be in her fourth year, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine.

On Monday morning, she was found lifeless in her room in Kiryandongo Town Council. She had been there for a community attachment at Kiryandongo General Hospital.

“Good evening brothers and sisters!. On a very sad note, I announce the death of one of us, Akankunda Eva, a fourth-year medical student at Kampala International University,” a message from an unverified source read.

The message further revealed the details of her discovery, and how they found her lifeless in her room. Akankunda completed her senior six at Bweranyangyi Girls School in 2016.

By press time, police had not issued any statement yet. However, her death comes just weeks after another engineering student, Boniface Kimera at Kyambogo, also in his fourth year, suddenly passed away.
