Michael Owen Claims Manchester United Is Back To The Fergie Times

Former Manchester United player, Michael Owen has claimed that after 11 years since the club’s legendary coach, Sir Alex Ferguson retired, the club seems like it has finally found his true heir. This was after the club’s 3-2 win over Bodø/Glimt in the Europa League.

Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring in the first minute. This was before the visitors equalized in the 19th minute and took the lead four minutes later. However, Rasmus Hojlund netted a brace to hand Ruben Amorim his first win as United manager.

And according to Michael Owen, the club is now a joy to watch. This is after 11 years of different experiments with various managers. He added that although much improvement is required, you can see potential all over the team now.

“It’s been over 11 years in the making but @ManUtd are all of a sudden good to watch again! Improvement is required everywhere you look but this is now a team with potential written all over it.”

Ever since Fergie retired in 2013, the Red Devils have had seven full-time managers. Erik Ten Hag, who was sacked last month, was replaced by Amorim.

The Portuguese has coached two games so far, winning one and drawing the other. His next task is a Premier League clash against Everton before a mouth-watering clash against Arsenal midweek.
