Minister Balaam Launches Ghetto Got Talent Star Search

An events promoter and minister for youth affairs Hon Balaam Barugahara has launched the Ghetto Got Talent Star Search. As Minister for the Youth and someone who has been in the entertainment industry, he is always rooting for the upcoming artistes and those who have been in the industry for so long.

The Ghetto Got Talent Star Search started years ago and it produced so many musicians including Zex Bilangilangi. It used to be spearheaded by Bobi Wine who is now a National Unity Platform (NUP) President and his colleagues.

When Bobi Wine joined politics, the government gagged and stopped him from many things. One of them is the talent searches that other people he worked with also didn’t go ahead. Since there are many talented ghetto youth, Balaam is using the opportunity to revive the search.

The Ghetto Talent Star Search was launched yesterday with Buchaman at the forefront. They called upon all the talented young people to register and prepare themselves for a whirlwind competition.

“I have always had a soft heart for the entertainment industry as you all know it changed my life for good. It is the time now we launch “Ghetto Got Talent” star search because there are so many young talented people in the ghetto,”

Balaam said that he is going to help the entertainment industry as much as he can. It should be noted that a lot of people in the ghettos are Bobi Wine diehards.

This move by Balaam is therefore seen as a way of trying to counter Bobi’s popularity among the ghetto youth.
