Africa’s own Mohamed Elneny completes a move to Arsenal

The transfer was confirmed by Wenger after having a surprising 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Wednesday, and it is the first signing that Arsene Wenger has completed this January, it looks like signing Mohamed is vital for the Gunners since of lately their midfield had more injury problems.

Egypt midfielder Mohamed Elneny has sealed a £5million move from Basle and it looks like he is to play his first match for the gunners on Sunday when they are facing Stoke city which has had a good performance on big team in premier league this season.

The Egyptian completed his medical last week and was awaiting international clearance before joining up with his new team-mates at the Gunners’ London Colney HQ.

Mohamed Elneny is expected to be their only January signing

Though right back Mathieu Debuchy could leave after asking Wenger for a move. The 23-year-old Mohamed made nearly 100 appearances for Basle while winning three consecutive Swiss Super League titles.

Well, this season has been a staring season for African footballers to shine in the premier league which is a good thing for African football in way that it creates more confidence in African players that haven’t made it to the top, therefore I wish the best for Mohamed Elney.
