Movit Products Limited the leading manufacturer of cosmetics in Uganda has donated sanitizers and hand washing gel to Kampala Capital City Authority worth 30 million to help In covid interventions in Kampala markets.
Herbert Egessa Skin Guard Brand Manager said the donation is part of movit Products Corporate Social Responsibility programme to keep consumers safe during covid season.
“Part of this donation to kcca is part of our corporate social responsibility contribution towards covid intervention. We decided to work with KCCA to ensure that we keep our consumers especially round Kampala markets safe during covid season,” Egessa said.
According to him, movit Products limited has been affected severely with covid pandemic lockdown but struggling to work ministry of health and KCCA to ensure that community is safe during covid season.
” Movit Products limited like any other company has not been spared either. Our operations has been hampered and our marketing affected squarely because most markets are closed,” Egessa said.

In Uganda from 3rd January 2020 to July 2021, there have been 90,656 confirmed cases of covid with 2,392 deaths reported t World health organisation but as per 18th July vaccination interventions 1,058,084 Vaccines doses have been administered.
