He came out with a new way of singing and that helped him break through the music industry very fast. Everyone had eyes on him waiting for what he will do next but still, he managed to make it.
As the Covid-19 pandemic hit the whole world in 2020, the music industry somehow paused. There were no performances which is the main way Ugandan artists earn money.
John Blaq backed down musically during Covid-19 period. A new generation of artists took up the industry. The likes of Mudra D Viral, Unknown and many others.
In Uganda’s music industry, once an artist loses track on the way before they get fully established, there is a possibility coming back becomes harder. That’s what exactly is happening to John Blaq. This is because he can no longer dive into making hits as he did in the beginning.
According to Mudra D Viral, he is very disappointed this year in John Blaq.
The Balo balo singer said Blaq is one of the most talented artists we have in Uganda and he was already getting established. He added that it’s surprising that John Blaq didn’t have a major hit song this year and he needs to do better next year.
“I believe in John Blaq because I know he is very talented. I don’t know how he really didn’t have a major hit song this year. Some of us joined the music industry because of him. I think he needs to do better next year,” he said.
