Muhoozi Permanently Banned From Twitter, Account Deactivated

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has received more bad news from Twitter after they permanently suspended Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s account.

Twitter suspended the account over a pattern of behavior that violated the company rules.

Apparently, the action appeared to be the most sweeping punishment any major social media company has ever taken against a Ugandan top official. That is if they used their account to spread wrong information.

It should also be noted that @mkainerugaba is now gone for good and any attempts to evade the ban will result into enforcement.

Twitter banned the first son on Monday, March 11, 2022, around 11:49 pm East African time. The Uganda government, as well as Muhoozi, are yet to respond to the ban.

As for Twitter, they have said nothing yet on why the company banned the military general.

In similar story previously reported by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, Twitter shut down 3,465 pro-government propaganda accounts in Uganda, Tanzania, Venezuela, China, Russia and Mexico. Part of those shut down belong to NRM.

Twitter also shut down 418 “propaganda accounts ”belonging to President Museveni and his National Resistance Movement (NRM). The NRM-affiliated accounts Twitter removed “engaged in coordinated inauthentic activity” which is against the community rules of Twitter.
