MUK, KIU And Busitema Dominate List Of Top 50 Best University Scientists

The Science Citation Index updated the list of best university scientists globally. The new updates has revealed a list of best scientists in Uganda.

Apparently, according to the list. Makerere University has over 20 of its lecturers in top positions. Kampala International University and Busitema University followed with over 5 of their lecturers on the list of best university scientists.

To come up with this list, the Science Citation Index based on the number of research journals produced by lecturers from different universities.

The Science Citation Index was launched in 1964 and currently covers over 9,200 notable and significant journals. This is across 178 disciplines, from 1,900 to the present.

Many have alternatively described it as the world’s leading journals of science and technology, because of a rigorous selection process.

In other news by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, International University of East Africa (IUEA) emerged best private university exhibitor in the just concluded Higher Education Exhibition held in Kampala.

Exhibition was organized by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) the regulatory body that supervises operations and licensing of universities and other tertiary institutions from 21st to 23rd march 2019 at Lugogo show ground under the theme: mainstreaming information communication technology in research, higher education delivery and management.
