Museveni Asks Monitor To Apologize In CAPITAL Letters, Wants Money From Them

President Museveni is still going on with his battle with the Daily Monitor newspaper. He demanded a front-page apology. He said this while addressing the nation about pressing issues at the moment.

“Daily Monitor must apologise on the front page for saying that I got secretly vaccinated against Covid-19 when my people were still in danger. They said I’m selfish. They must apologise in big letters on the whole front page,” President Museveni

This battle started when Daily Monitor apparently accused the first family of being vaccinated against Coronavirus. At the time they published the story, the vaccine was not yet even in the country. Actually, the president blatantly said he will make some money out of Daily Monitor.

However, now that the vaccine is here, no one has seen the president or anybody from the first family take the vaccine. Yesterday, the president clarified on this. He said the vaccine is first for those at high risk for example doctors. Museveni added though that he is still making up his mind also on which vaccine to take.

Obviously, this raised a lot of eyebrows. Presidents in most countries were the first people to be vaccinated as soon as vaccines reached their countries. Point in case is President Kagame of Rwanda who already took the vaccine. Some Ugandans are taking advantage of this to refuse the vaccine shot saying something is definitely wrong. Well, we are yet to see whether the president will ever take the shot.

Meanwhile, it also doesn’t look like Daily Monitor is going to take the president’s word seriously. Even today their front page is just something so different and they don’t seem bothered.
