All this took place on Saturday at main street Primary School in Jinja during the Church’s second anniversary commemorations and fund-raising event towards the building of a 5 billion shilling cathedral.
The head of State confirmed that from the Shs100 million, Shs80 million is for Church construction whilst the Shs20 million will be assigned for Church SACCO called Jinja Christian Youth SACCO which already signed up 343 members.
The Church overseer Pastor Ngobi Tom has been given initial deposit of Shs30 million by president Museveni who also promised to send the balance soon.
I appreciate president Museveni for the good leadership which has given us the ability to worship freely as Ugandans,’said pastor Ngobi.
More than two decade ago when many people opposed born again faith, you said everyone deserves to worship the God they want. We thank God for you and shall always keep you in prayers so that you remain in your position. ,’he added.
