The president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni finally praised the former Tanzanian President, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, whom he described as the most important personality in the human history.
All this was said by President Museveni during the annual Julius Kambarage Nyerere Day commemorative Mass at Namugongo Catholic Martyrs’ Shrine while praying for late Julius Nyerere.
The mass was attended by Pilgrims alongside 500 Tanzanians together with the widow of the former leader, Mama Nyerere. Kampala Archdiocesan Vicar General, Monsignor Charles Kasibante, led this Mass.
With due respect to late Nyerere, we join hands with the president to honor his duty.
