We are grateful to God for the year 2018 and look forward to 2019. My push for improved household income has been re-energized by Bishop Michael Lubowa’s testimony of using church influence in Central Buganda Diocese to help the wanainchi out of poverty,’’Museveni said.

Jesus worked as a carpenter before going to preach, heal the sick and feed the hungry. That is the essence of our faith; whether Christian, Muslim or any other religion.

We shall continue building capacity to foster functional literacy among our people whose education levels may be low, or those who are getting disoriented by some elements, in this fight against poverty,’’president said.

I thank you, and wish you a prosperous 2019.
