This meeting came up after the Archbishop claimed to have received anonymous call threatening his life.
Lwanga said the caller revealed that he was working for the government’s intelligence and warned him that he was to be the next janani Luwum.
Archbishop Janani Luwum was murdered in February 1977 during Amin’s government and his murder was ordered by Amin himself.
However, after lwanga’s allegation, President Museveni promised to meet Archbishop Lwanga and listen to his concerns. And hence the meeting.
Lwanga told the government to be bold enough and confront them than spying on religious leaders using wrong people that will give them false information.
