This is due to the recent rivalry between the two he has termed as the “war of letters.”
The major issue originates from a couple of letters the latter sent to the president through his private principle secretary. Apparently, the letters were reporting the IGG for stalking trouble and discord.
The president replied Byenkya saying he had read the letters alleging that Kamya is the cause of discord. However, he revealed he needs time to consult with his legal team on who has a valid complaint.
He also asked that the two appear in front of him at the same time with an intention of getting the allegations first hand.
President Museveni also said that the two should avoid fighting since they are practically ‘sisters.’ In addition to that, he reiterated his message of cohesion amongst the appointees in his current government structures.
Issues the two started when Byenkya accused Kamya of interfering with Uganda Land Commission works.
The two would later clash bitterly while appearing before the Physical Infrastructure Committee of Parliament in 2020.
A lot of things were exchanged between the two with Kamya accusing Byenkya of being a “difficult” person to work with.
The lands commission chair in return accused Kamya of deliberately declining to work with her only during the Nakawa- Naguru Land compensation matter.
