Museveni To Address The Nation On Saturday After 42 Days Of Lockdown

president Museveni will address the nation on Saturday after the 42 days of lockdown. The nation is anxiously waiting for what is next after the long lockdown.

This second wave came with so much gear that no one predicted 42 days of lockdown. Most nonessential activities are right now under lockdown and most people are jobless.

The only thing the public wants to hear is that the lockdown is lifted. Much as we are obviously not expecting a total lift but something better should be done. The most sensitive sectors should be given priority so that they find a quick solution.

They must look into sectors like education. If they are not going to open them, then they should find another solution apart from children just sitting at home.

There are businesses that have been closed since March 2020, the president should address them as well.

Otherwise even the plan by the prime minister to give vulnerable people aid of UgX100,000 has not achieved it’s intended goal. This means most people are just simply surviving in ways that they themselves know.

At this rate, they should suggest other solutions apart from locking the country. Vaccination should be number one on the list because it’s currently the safest solution.

Otherwise, experts have warned, that if people become reluctant, the third wave will be worse. As the nation waits for Museveni Kaguta’s address, all these should be put into consideration.
